In order to raise funds for our charitable activities and to keep the bond with the entire members and well-wishers alive and strong, Sabha has instituted a Welfare Fund Corpus by donations from members and its well-wishers. Since institution of the Welfare Corpusin the year 2002, Sabha was able to come to the aid of quite a few discerned and deserved people to overcome their grief. Our mission is to reach a state by group efforts whereby no individual is suffered for want of a helping hand. And it is done through micro-donations from the member community and well wishers of the Sabha. We also generate micro-giving in cases of emergencies - Micro-giving is most often thought of as the charitable donation of small increments of money from individual donors to a specific recipient to meet emergencies.
Impulse giving goes hand-in-hand with micro giving. The Internet has made it possible for individuals to give to nonprofit organizations at a moment's notice. Just as people can shop and make purchases of goods impulsively as a result of seeing merchandise displayed at the physical mall, they can give impulsively as a result of having been exposed to need by an organization or cause that calls to them.
The smaller the size of the asked-for gift, the easier it is for someone to respond impulsively and make a charitable donation. That's why impulse giving and micro-giving are so linked. Sabha sequentially makes legitimate cases for gifts in support of multiple philanthropic opportunities. Each new case for support engages the donor in a fresh way. Each separate reason for giving provides the opportunity for a new impulse response. This is particularly true for individuals more invested in the work or content of an organization than in the organization itself—donors for whom mission matters more than the organization fulfilling that mission. The primary goal of the welfare fund was to meet the demanding humanitarian needs of the BYS Members that are beyond their capacity to overcome individually, and require collective wisdom and assist. Further, as and when a need arises, the proceeds of the fund would be used to address humanitarian issues in a wider perspective.
Members and Well-wishers can make their donations to the Welfare Fund by way of Demand Draft or Crossed Cheque favouring “Bombay Yogakshema Sabha” and payable in Mumbai and send it to The Secretary, Bombay Yogakshema Sabha, G-1, Nava Haridarshan Society, Jaihind Colony, G.Gupte Road, Dombivli (West) 421202, Thane District, Maharashtra.
